EU Info Bus in Mojkovac visit to Secondary School Vuksan Đukić

CGO - Mojkovac - 14.04.13 71 of 132

EU Info bus has continued its journey throughout Montenegro, and after Danilovgrad headed towards municipality of Mojkovac to visit Secondary School "Vuksan Đukić".

In order to educate and inform pupils of this school, representatives of the Centre for Civic Education and the NGO "Natura" have organized numerous educational activities during the visit, which was carried out on 16 April 2013.

Pupils had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and to inform themselves regarding the process of European integration in direct communication with the representatives of the Centre for Civic Education. Arrival of the EU Info BUS has sparked great interest in students of the school, who first had the opportunity to visit EU information stands, receive EU info brochures and other informational materials, as well as to take part in a quiz about the European Union.

Also, on the same day, in the great hall of the School a screening of the documentary film "Europe in my town" was organized. The film is about the CGO - Mojkovac - 14.04.13 69 of 132new rules, a new system of values, a new world in which Montenegro is entering by its integration with the European Union. The film was shot in the picturesque towns and villages of Montenegro, painted by coloring mentality characteristics of these regions, and consists of perceptions, fears, prejudices, but also hopes of Montenegrin citizens towards integration itself. Numerous questions and comments of students which followed the screening, confirmed the need and interest of young people to gather additional information about the process.
Chiara Gaia Iascone, Project Associate in the CCE, gave a short presentation on topic: "Education and Youth Policy of the EU" and shared with the audience her experience, gained through participation in a number of European educational programs. Students were told which educational programs exist, how can they apply and actively participate in them, as well as many other useful information. Next stop on the way of the EU Info Bus is Nikšić, namely the High-school "Stojan Cerović”, which we will visit on 23 April 2013.
The project "EU Info Bus - towards the EU" is financed from the communication budget of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, and is implemented by the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the NGO Natura.
